Scientific Institute for Research of the Chernobyl Anomalous Area. About us
SIRCAA is the largest organization in Ukraine and the world that is dedicated to studying the Chernobyl anomalous Exclusion Zone, as well as the adjacent territories. The decision to create a research institute was made in 2012. Now it is possible to combine all the knowledge that existed at that time and focus on the further research of this region, the goal of its subsequent study and application of the acquired knowledge for the benefit of mankind.
Studying a wide array of soil samples, minerals, living cells, within the environment of increased ionizing and anomalous radiation, has allowed SIRCAA scientists to observe the effect of these types of radiation. On the quantum structure of the atomic nucleus, the quarks change inside it, as well as on microorganisms and living cells ontogenesis.
In SIRCAA we have a number of experimental farms and test sites, where the best radiobiologists of our time can conduct their research. Thanks to the efforts of our scientists, it has already been possible to breed ionizing radiation high-resistant crops, as well as fruit plants that can screen out unstable isotopes. Thus, the plant does not take radioactive substances from the soil and gives absolutely pure, usable fruits.
Our Radioactive Waste Management department strives to introduce an array of completely new solutions for the reprocessing and disposal of spent nuclear fuel and other types of radioactive waste.
Therefore the Anomalous Energy Effects and Influence Research Department (the only one in the world) is also working in close cooperation with other departments. That expands our horizons of knowledge in quantum mechanics and field theory.
Currently, SIRCAA is collaborating and working on joint projects with the International Organization for Radiological Protection (IRPP), Empire State University (EST), the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR), the World Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and others.
